To show your portfolio on your website you can create as many image galleries as you need. This article explains how to create them and customise them as you like.

To create a new gallery, go to:

Click the + New button at the top left.

In the window that opens, enter the Name of the new gallery, choose its Parent (the menu item it will appear in) and the Type of content you’ll upload (in this case, Photographs).

If you haven’t created the menu item yet, choose the new menu option at the top of the Parent list: a new item with the name you entered in Name will appear in your website’s main menu. You can have as many gallery menu items as you need.

Once you’ve filled in these 3 fields, click Upload photographs and choose the images for the gallery from your computer (you can also drag them straight onto the screen).

At this point you can also choose to apply a watermark to your photos. We explain this in detail here:

When your photos have uploaded, click the blue Publish new gallery button at the bottom right.

Another very handy option is to duplicate one or more image galleries. Go to the main galleries page, select the one you want and hover over the Actions button: at the bottom of the menu you’ll find Duplicate galleries.

A window opens asking you to confirm and warning you about two things:

When you click Duplicate, a new gallery with the same name as the original appears at the bottom of the galleries list. You can also duplicate several galleries at once.

Click the gallery name in the list to open its page in the panel, with all its images and the tabs to set it up (General, Gallery cover, Text, Music, Watermarks, SEO and Settings).

To see it on your website, click the eye icon in the top bar and choose Web view, or the menu item you want.

To show your photos in your website galleries you can use any of the 4 gallery designs available: Pages, Slideshow, Infinite and Carousel. Every gallery design works with every web design.

The Pages gallery is light and elegant: your photos are shown grouped according to the width and height of the screen.

The Slideshow gallery shows a large main photo with a row of thumbnails. It also lets visitors view photos full screen, and has scrolling, autoplay and zoom, like the other galleries.

The Infinite design is a Pinterest-style gallery that grows downwards. You can add a cover image to each gallery, and it’s fully responsive, so your visitors can view it on any device. Here too, images open full screen when you click the thumbnail.

The images in the Carousel gallery scroll continuously, with automatic movement that visitors can control with the mouse. Clicking stops the movement so they can browse the photos and view any image at full size.
