Creating a digital sales gallery is very easy: just follow the steps in this article. Shall we start?
Create a digital sales gallery
First, go to this section of the panel:
Control panel / sidebar / Client Galleries / Galleries.
To create a gallery, hover over the + New button at the top left and choose A gallery.
In the next window, choose one of 3 gallery types:
Public shop: to sell photos and videos. Visible to everyone.
Public gallery: to view, select and/or download your images and videos. Visible to everyone.
Private gallery: to view, select and/or download your photos and videos. Visible only to the people you choose.
To create a digital sales gallery, we recommend the first option: Public shop.
Once you’ve chosen Public shop, fill in these fields:
Name: the gallery name, for example “Marta and Carlos’s wedding”.
Parent: where the new gallery will sit in your website’s main menu, for example “Client area”.
Type: Photographs or Videos.
Mode: how you’ll sell the images in the gallery.
Products: choose Price list or Customized catalog*.
Prices: the price list to apply to this gallery.
Tags: choose or create tags to organise galleries and orders, for example “Weddings”.
* Customized catalog: with this option you can create a product catalogue just for this gallery. You assign the products in the Sales tab once the gallery has been created.
If your website is in several languages, remember to fill in the Name field in each language tab.
When you’ve filled everything in, click Upload photographs. A screen opens where you can add the gallery’s images and choose whether to upload them with or without a watermark.
Once the photos have uploaded, click Publish new gallery. You’ll return to the Galleries list, where the new sales gallery will appear first.
Duplicate a gallery
Another very handy option is to duplicate one or more galleries. Go to the main galleries page and select the gallery you want to duplicate.
Hover over the Actions button: at the bottom of the menu you’ll find Duplicate galleries.
A window opens asking you to confirm and warning you about two things:
If the gallery has sub-galleries, they are duplicated too, with their characteristics. You can choose whether to include them.
The images are not copied, only the structure.
When you click Duplicate, a new gallery with the same name as the original will appear. You can also duplicate several public or private galleries at once.
Create several galleries at once and use templates
To create a whole structure of galleries and sub-galleries in one go, hover over + New and choose Various galleries.
In the Various galleries window, choose the Parent they will be created under and add galleries with New gallery. For each gallery you can set the name, type, price list, watermark, permissions and tags.
If you select Save as template, the structure is saved as a gallery template with the same settings: modes, price lists, payment methods, shipping methods, etc. That way you can recreate it in seconds for each client. You’ll find your templates under Client Galleries / Tools.
Use a gallery template
Once you have at least one saved template, the Various galleries window also shows a tab to load it. Choose the template from the list and load it: the complete structure appears, with the menu the galleries will be created in and all the template’s galleries and sub-galleries.
Before creating them you can change anything: rename them (for example, with the client’s name), add galleries with New gallery, edit them with the pencil or drag them to change their order and level. Galleries created from a template keep the settings you saved it with.
When the structure is ready, click Create galleries. The new galleries appear first in the list, not yet published.
Check permissions
If the structure has private galleries without an assigned client (this often happens with templates, because the client changes every time), clicking Create galleries won’t create them yet:
A message asks you to check the permissions.
A red warning appears next to each gallery and sub-gallery without a client.
To fix it:
Click the pencil of the gallery with the warning.
In the edit window, go to Permissions and choose who can see it: all customers, selected customers or a new customer.
Save and repeat for each gallery with a red warning.
When there are no more warnings, click Create galleries again.
You’ll return to the Galleries list, where the new structure appears first, not yet published. Remember to publish it when it’s ready for your client.
Send the gallery to your clients
From both the galleries list and each gallery’s page you can send your clients the content of a gallery, or simply email them a reminder.
From the galleries list
In Client Galleries / Galleries, next to each gallery you’ll find a paper plane icon.
Clicking it opens a window where you choose how to send the gallery to your client:
By email.
By WhatsApp.
Social networks.
With a link.
At the bottom of the window you can choose a text template (Templates) for the message. Here we explain where the templates are and how to create a new one:
From the gallery page
Inside every gallery there’s a Send button at the top that opens the same window, so you can quickly get in touch with your clients.
