We recommend registering your photography website on Facebook. You’ll get an App ID that lets you turn on Facebook comments in your blog posts.
This article explains all the steps.
Note: the Facebook (Meta for Developers) screenshots in this article are in Spanish and may have changed; you’ll see them in your own language.
How do I get a Facebook App ID?
While logged in to Facebook, go to the developer platform developers.facebook.com and click My Apps.
Click the Create app button and follow the wizard:
Choose the app type or use case Meta suggests (we recommend the first option) and click Next.
If it asks whether you’re building a game, answer No.
Type the app name (for example, myNewApp) and the contact email, and click Create app.
For security, Facebook will ask for your password.
You’ll be taken to the app dashboard. In the side menu go to App settings / Basic: at the top you’ll find the App ID and the App Secret.
The Meta for Developers screens change often: if you can’t find these exact options, look for “Create app” and “Basic settings”.
Add the App ID to your Arcadina website
With the App ID and App Secret to hand, go to your control panel, in:
Control panel / sidebar / Blog / Settings.
In the blog settings side menu, open the Posts tab.
Here you can choose whether to allow comments on your posts. Tick Allow comments and, in Comment type, choose Facebook. Two fields will appear:
Facebook App ID.
Facebook App Secret.
Copy your details into these fields and click Save.
Comments on your blog posts
From now on, visitors to your blog can leave a comment at the bottom of each post using their Facebook account.
