What is PayPal and what is it for?

PayPal is a service that lets you accept payments by credit card or PayPal account on your website. More than 200 million people use it worldwide. It offers extra protection (no financial details are shared), it’s quick and easy (just an email and a password), it can be used anywhere and it’s very transparent.

You can check PayPal’s fees here: PayPal fees. Arcadina is not involved in these payments at any point and charges no commission: the payment goes directly between you and your client.

How do I set up PayPal in Arcadina?

1. Create your account on PayPal.

2. In your control panel go to Sales / Payment methods and click New payment method.

3. In Payment method choose PayPal Personal.

4. Fill in the Description text: this is the name your clients will see for this payment method at checkout. Also choose which sales it can be used for (prints, photographic services, digital files, booking).

5. In Email PayPal enter the email address of your PayPal account, where you’ll receive the payments. Then click Next.

6. In the Expenses step you can set the fees to charge for using this payment method (percentage, fixed charge, minimum charge and the amount above which no fee applies). Click Finish to save.
