How your photos look on your website depends on several factors:
The web design.
The section of the website (website, blog, online store, Client gallery).
The device (computer, phone, etc.).
The screen size.
Below we recommend some sizes (in pixels) so your photos always look perfect. Keep in mind that the maximum allowed size is 10,000 px on the longest side, height or width.
Images for your website and blog
On your website and blog you can upload photos in several sections, for example:
Image galleries.
Home page.
Slideshow.
Service pages, about us, etc.
Blog posts.
For all these sections we recommend:
Size: 2000 px wide or high.
Format: JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg extension).
Colour profile: sRGB IEC61966-2.1.
The recommended optimal resolution for website images is 96 ppi. You’ll find more details about blog images here:
Images for your business area (online store and Client gallery)
In your business area you can create different types of gallery. Here are two examples.
Photo sales and downloads
Size: upload your photos at their original resolution.
Format: JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg extension).
Colour profile: sRGB IEC61966-2.1.
Sample, presentation and selection galleries
Size: 2000 px wide or high.
Format: JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg extension).
Colour profile: sRGB IEC61966-2.1.
Remember that the maximum size of an image is 50 MB.
Logo size
The recommended size depends on the web design:
Arizona: 255 px wide by 85 px high.
Bangkok: 290 px wide by 150 px high.
New York: 290 px wide by 120 px high.
Tokyo: 300 px wide by 75 px high.
That way your website logo always looks its best. As a format we recommend .png with a transparent background and, ideally, the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 colour profile.
Favicon size
The favicon is the icon browsers show next to your website’s URL. We recommend:
Size: a square image of at least 192 x 192 pixels.
Formats: .png, .jpeg, .gif (not animated) or .ico.
Colour profile: ideally sRGB IEC61966-2.1.
