This article explains where to set all the sales settings for your business (public and private client galleries). If you follow this guide, it will all be quick and easy.
Open the sales settings
In the panel, go to:
Control panel / sidebar / Client Galleries / Settings / Sell.
On this Sales settings screen you’ll find several tabs. Let’s look at them one by one:
Galleries.
Shipping methods.
Shipping zones.
Form.
Downloads.
Texts.
Products.
Orders.
Sales settings / Galleries
In the Galleries tab you choose whether to show the price next to products (Show price): don’t show it, show the lowest price of a single unit, or show the lowest price by quantity. You can also choose whether to show it on mobile.
In Format type you choose whether the price appears with the word “From” in front (From €X.XX) or without it (€X.XX). Apply to all the galleries extends this setting to every gallery.
Here you can also turn the Quick buy button on or off.
Sales settings / Shipping methods
To send an order to your clients you can offer home delivery, store pickup (at your photography studio) or pickup at a specific address.
You can turn each shipping method on or off with its switch and sort them by dragging: the first one will be the default.
This tab is also where you set the shipping costs:
Fixed shipping: always applied when the client chooses home delivery.
Amount for zero delivery costs: if you want to offer free shipping from a certain amount (for example, on orders of €40 or more), enter it here. With Show message of free delivery you can show your clients a notice, for example: “Free shipping on orders over €40”.
Shipping costs laboratories: here you decide what percentage of the lab shipping costs you pay and what your client pays.
The following article explains all this in more detail.
Sales settings / Shipping zones
Here you can create and organise the rate zones for shipping orders. Shipping within the same country doesn’t cost the same as shipping abroad or to remote territories, which is why you can create different shipping zones.
To organise them, drag each country into the zone you want. Hold down Ctrl/Cmd to select several countries and drag them together.
There are 4 main zones (Zone 1, 2, 3 and 4), plus Other and Not shipping. With Only ship to you can limit shipping to a single country.
At the bottom of the page you’ll find the Zone test: enter a country and postcode to check which shipping zone it belongs to.
You’ll find more information in the following article.
Sales settings / Form
In the Form tab you decide which details to ask the client for when they place an order, in case you don’t have them yet, and for each one whether it is requested and whether it is required.
Note: if the order includes Arcadina Labs products, the full form is shown, because all the client’s details are needed to deliver the order.
You can also ask for email confirmation, so the client has to type it twice and mistakes are avoided.
Sales settings / Downloads
When a client completes an order, this tab is where you set how their downloads are sent:
Sending download link: automatically (when the order is marked as paid) or manually (to check each order yourself and decide when to send the link).
Link expiration: how long the download link stays active.
Order downloads: you can limit the number of times an order can be downloaded. If you don’t, the client can download it as often as they like.
Download notification: turn it on if you want an email every time a client downloads their files.
Download type: for orders with many photos, set the number of images from which a ZIP file is created instead of a direct download.
If you choose manual sending, here are all the details:
Sales settings / Texts
In the Texts tab you customise the messages your clients see when they place an order, in each language of your website (ES, EN, IT):
On-screen text at the end of the order.
Order email header.
Order email footer.
Message in the cart.
Text sent with the download link.
Photo download form text.
Text sent with the link to complete a pending order.
The following article has more details.
Sales settings / Products
In Products you decide what happens to the product window when the client adds it to the cart: it stays open so they can keep shopping, or it closes.
For Arcadina Labs products you can show the client a warning when the image doesn’t have the right dimensions for the chosen product.
* Tip: if you turn this warning off, we recommend turning on order holding (Orders tab). That gives you time to check whether any photo doesn’t suit the product size and replace it before the order reaches the lab.
Sales settings / Orders
In the Orders tab you set:
Labs orders: you can hold an order for a few days before sending it to the lab. This lets you review orders and make corrections if needed.
Shipping to: the address the client entered in the order, or your address (so you can check orders before they reach your clients).
Minimum amount: the minimum amount for placing an order, excluding shipping and additional costs.
