Booking: session types

Create the sessions your customers book and pay for: prices, duration, reminders, booking form and how to duplicate them.

Written by Félix Mezcua

A session type is each session your customers can book and pay for on your website: for example, a “Basic Christmas session” and a “Full Christmas session”. You can group several session types in a campaign so customers choose between them.

Create a session type

Go to:

Control panel / sidebar / Booking / Session types.

Click + New session type and complete the four steps:

  1. Basic information: title, the text the customer sees (it also goes in the booking email), an optional different text for emails, the session colour in your calendar, the gallery template and contract template to use, the campaigns that include it and the prices: session price (total) and reservation price (what the customer pays to book). You can also choose what discounts apply to.

  2. Time and confirmation: session duration, the interval between the times shown, the spacing between sessions (to prepare the studio, for example), how far in advance customers must book, the confirmation message and reminders by email or WhatsApp (1 month, 1 week or 1 day before).

  3. Images: a representative image of the session.

  4. Products and services: the details you ask the customer for when booking (name, email, phone, address…), which are required, and an optional additional form created in General / Forms. Then click Create session type.

You can create a session type with a price of 0, for example to offer a free photo as a hook to get new customers.

Edit or duplicate a session type

Click a session type in the list to open it. Its tabs (General, Cover, Form, SEO and Campaigns) contain the same settings, in each of your languages (ES, EN, IT). Use the switch to publish or unpublish it.

To save time, duplicate a similar session type with Duplicate session type or with the three dots next to it in the list, and then change what you need. The copy is created unpublished.

What your customers see

On your website’s Book page customers see your active campaigns. When they open one, they choose a session type, pick a day and time and pay the reservation.
