To offer your clients a more complete and professional service, you can create private galleries in the Client gallery of your online store where they can do several things.

To create a gallery, hover over the + New button at the top left and choose A gallery.

Sometimes it’s very useful to create a sample gallery so your clients can see an example of your work. It can be public or private.

As you can see, the process is very similar for public and private galleries. In private galleries, under Permissions, choose who can see it: all customers, selected customers or a new customer.

Once you’ve filled in the details and uploaded your photos with Upload photographs, your sample gallery will be ready for the users you’ve chosen.

If you do shoots where several people can download the images, a digital download gallery will make your work much easier.

When your clients see the photos from their session in the private area, they often need to choose some images, for example for an album or because the package they bought includes a limited number of photos. In these cases, a selection gallery is very useful for you and your clients.

Whether they’re public sales galleries open to everyone or private galleries in the Client gallery, knowing how to create a photo sales gallery is key for your business.

Galleries where your clients can select, download and buy images are very useful and versatile.

Another very handy option is to duplicate one or more galleries. Go to the main galleries page and select a private gallery.

Hover over the Actions button: at the bottom of the menu you’ll find Duplicate galleries.

A window opens asking you to confirm and warning you about two things:

When you click Duplicate, a new gallery with the same name as the original will appear. You can also duplicate several public or private galleries at once; if a gallery has sub-galleries, they are duplicated too (without the images).

To create a whole structure of galleries and sub-galleries in one go, hover over + New and choose Various galleries.

In the Various galleries window, choose the Parent they will be created under and add galleries with New gallery. You can sort them and change their level by dragging them, and edit them with the pencil.

For each gallery you can set the name, type, pricing list, watermark, permissions and tags.

If you select Save as template, the structure is saved as a gallery template. You can then recreate it in seconds for each client, with the same settings: modes, pricing lists, payment methods, shipping methods, etc. You’ll find your templates under Client Galleries / Tools.

Once you have at least one saved template, the Various galleries window also shows a tab to load it. Choose the template from the list and load it: the complete structure appears, with the menu the galleries will be created in and all the template’s galleries and sub-galleries.

Before creating them you can change anything: rename them (for example, with the client’s name), add galleries with New gallery, edit them with the pencil or drag them to change their order and level. Galleries created from a template keep the settings you saved it with.

When the structure is ready, click Create galleries. The new galleries appear first in the list, not yet published.

If the structure has private galleries without an assigned client (this often happens with templates, because the client changes every time), clicking Create galleries won’t create them yet:

To fix it:

You’ll return to the Galleries list, where the new structure appears first, not yet published. Remember to publish it when it’s ready for your client.

From both the galleries list and each gallery’s page you can send your clients the content of a gallery, or simply email them a reminder.

In Client Galleries / Galleries, next to each gallery you’ll find a paper plane icon.

Clicking it opens a window where you choose how to send the gallery to your client:

Inside every gallery, public or private, there’s a Send button at the top that opens the same window, so you can quickly get in touch with your clients.
